1. A gunman killed eight people and wounded several others before killing himself in a late-night shooting at a FedEx facility near the Indianapolis airport, in the latest in a spate of mass shootings after a relative lull during the pandemic. (AP)

2. All testimony is complete for the murder trial of Derek Chauvin in the death of George Floyd. The jury will hear closing arguments and begin deliberating on Monday. (NEWS CENTER)

3. The U.S. tops 31.4 million covid-19 cases with more than 565,000 related deaths. The Maine CDC reported 1 new death and 579 new cases on Thursday bringing Maine’s death toll to 758 with 107 Mainers currently hospitalized. 46% of the new cases reported Thursday were in people younger than 30. 4. New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu announced that the statewide mask mandate will officially expire Friday. The mandate going away will not limit or prevent the ability of private businesses and local cities and towns from requiring masks. (WGME)
