1. A group of 16 Maine county Repbulican chairs met Monday night to discuss a possible censure of Sen. Collins for being one of seven GOP senators to vote against their party in Trump’s 2nd impeachment trial. The Maine GOP has not yet released a formal statement in regards to the vote. (NEWS CENTER)

2. The U.S. tops 27.6 million covid-19 cases with over 486,000 deaths The Maine CDC reported no new deaths and 148 new cases on Monday keeping Maine’s death toll at 649 with 94 Mainers currently hospitalized. (WMTW)

3. Tuesday’s winter storm is affecting some vaccine clinics across the state. According to MaineHeath’s website, clinics in Belfast, Boothbay and Norway will be closed due to weather. Clinics in Brunswick, Westbrook, as well as the mass vaccination site at the former Scarborough Downs location have delayed openings. (NEWS CENTER)

4. Emma Pierce from Gray founded the non profit Prevent Pet Suffocation after her year-and-a-half golden retriever died from getting her head stuck in a bag of chips. The group offers support and raises awareness and is pushing for warning labels on snack bags. A petition to Frito Lay has more than 40,000 signatures. (WGME)

5. A group of 30 girls from 22 different countries in Portland are getting international attention. The group, Pihcintu, filmed a music video on Monday for UN Women, as part of International Women’s Day. The group will kick off the UN event, which will be broadcasted live through Facebook on March 8. (WMTW)
