(News) 2019 MTV VMA Nominations

MTV announced the nominations for the 2019 Video Music Awards and Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift top the list with 10 nominations each, including video of the year and song of the year.

Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X are not that far behind with nine and eight nominations each. Both of them are up for best new artist, while Billie Eilish is also up for artist of the year, push artist of the year and best pop. Lil Nas X’s song “Old Town Road” is up for song of the year, best hip hop and video of the year.

The award show is also introducing two new categories that includes best K-pop and video for good. Republic Records leads the labels with 25 nominations because of Swift, Grande, and the Jonas Brothers.

Starting now through August 15, fans can vote for their favorite artists across 14 categories here. The 2019 VMAs, hosted by Sebastian Maniscalco, will air live from the Prudential Center in New Jersey on Monday, August 26th at 9 pm.
