South Korea’s top professional baseball league, the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO), announced Tuesday that it will resume its delayed season on May 5. KBO also quickly jumped into pre-season, with five games played Tuesday. Umpires wore masks and gloves, and team staff wore masks in the dugouts. Games for now are TV-only, and the league plans to only gradually re-open them to fans when it’s deemed safe. The league plans to complete its entire 144-game schedule, but warned it could shut down again should there be another spike in infections.
