It’s not everyday that someone can say they encountered a rattlesnake and need to be airlifted to the hospital. Unfortunately, this is what Mike Posner just went through. The singer was recently airlifted to a hospital in Colorado after being bitten by a rattlesnake while on his Forrest Gump-like Walk Across America.
Posner posted about the hospitalization and a video of paramedics wheeling him out on a gurney as he gives a thumbs up:

According to the U.S. Forest Service, rattlesnake bites are rarely fatal with 1 in 600 resulting in death. The antidote is a serum that contains antibodies extracted from horse blood.
Many celebs sent well wishes to Posner including Millie Bobby Brown commenting “What!!!! Get well soon, sending best wishes to you”, Joe Jonas saying “Rest up bro. Glad you are ok <3,” and Jessie J calling Posner a “real life super hero.”
The big question is, why is Mike Posner of all people walking across America? On his website, Posner says his goal for his Walk Across America is to “leave each town we go through a little bit better than when we arrived,” spending time “compassionately listening to people with as much of my full attention as possible.” Mike Posner is just trying to change the world and make the lives of others a little happier! We hope he gets better soon and continues his journey across America!
