In the last week, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred has swung from saying that he’s “100 percent” sure there’ll be a season, to saying on Monday that he was suddenly concerned that there would be no season at all. New reports say there’s renewed optimism about a deal. An MLB source told ESPN’s Jeff Passan that it could be a matter of days before both sides agree to a plan for MLB’s return. “Somebody who is involved in the negotiations, last night said ‘I think this gets done in 10 days,” Passan said.
