Chris Lafon, better known online as Airsoft Fatty, stopped by to chat about his unexpected journey from making YouTube videos to becoming an internet personality with fans across the country!
Chris started creating content back in 2014, never expecting that his videos would eventually go viral and open the door to countless opportunities. Over the years, he’s collaborated with a variety of creators, including bodybuilder Houston Jones and artist Wake Up Filthy, experiences that he says have been some of the highlights of his career!
Now, Chris is preparing for one of his biggest fan events yet: a series of meet-and-greets at the Bangor State Fair! Fans can meet Chris, snap photos, and get autographs on August 1, 2, 6, 7, and 8 from noon to 7pm. Best of all, the meet-and-greet is free with fair admission.
In addition to meeting fans, Chris will also be taking part in a dunk tank fundraiser benefiting Make-A-Wish Maine, adding a charitable element to the festivities!
During the interview, Chris reflected on his rise to internet fame and offered advice for aspiring creators: keep pursuing what you’re passionate about, even when challenges arise.
Looking ahead, Chris has plenty on his calendar, including appearances at Complex Con and the Juice Wrld Festival, but for now, he’s focused on connecting with fans right here in Maine!
