On September 25th, I’m trading my bed for a kennel! I’ll be participating in the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland’s Shelter Sleep-In, an annual fundraiser that helps support the ARLGP’s life-saving work and the thousands of animals who depend on them every year.
For one night, I’ll be sleeping at the shelter alongside other community members who are coming together to raise money and awareness for animals in need. And while I’m definitely looking forward to the experience (and the puppy snuggles!), I’m even more excited about what the money raised will make possible.
Every donation helps provide animals with the care, shelter and second chances they deserve while they wait to find their forever homes.
This year’s theme is “Fall in Love, One Paw at a Time!” and we’ll be decorating our kennel spaces to celebrate the theme. I’m already dreaming up some fun ideas, so stay tuned to see what I come up with! The public is also invited to stop by the Animal Refuge League on September 25th from 5pm to 7pm to meet the participants, check out our kennel decorations, make donations in person and celebrate the fundraiser with us.
I’m hoping to raise at least $5,000 for the ARLGP, but my ultimate goal is to raise as much as possible to help make a difference for animals in our community.
Want to help me reach my goal? Every dollar counts!
Thank you for helping me support the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland and the animals who are still waiting for their forever homes. I can’t wait to spend the night “ruffing” it for a really good cause!
