Today for If You Can Hear Her, You Can Be Her, I spoke with Lyndee Waldbauer, owner of The Belle of Belgrade, an experiential tourism brand based in Maine!
Lyndee shared how her journey brought her from Maryland to Maine, where she set out to create something unique. What started as an idea has grown into a business centered around curated, memorable experiences, including picnics, charcuterie classes, and now, a party bus designed to bring people together in a new way.
As her business evolved, Lyndee made intentional decisions about how she wanted those experiences to feel. While she originally considered purchasing a full-size bus, she ultimately chose a smaller, more intimate option to better align with the personalized atmosphere she envisioned.
She also spoke openly about the challenges of building a business, particularly when it comes to promotion and getting the word out. Despite those hurdles, she recently celebrated her one-year anniversary and earned recognition with a feature in The Boston Globe!
Looking ahead, Lyndee is planning summer experiences that highlight local makers and art galleries, continuing her mission to connect people with the creative community around them.
Her message to young women is to take the next step with their ideas, even if it feels uncertain. She also emphasized the importance of collaboration and supporting others along the way.
