Nothing like some holiday hoops! Winter coming around for the entirety of my life has meant one of my favorite things is in full swing, and that’s basketball season, baby! Not often these days do I get a chance to check out some high school hoops, so it was a blast being able to see some great student-athletes in action at the Portland Expo for this tournament. I saw Scarborough vs. Biddeford boys, Freeport vs. Cheverus girls, Greely vs. Spruce Mt. girls, and Greely vs. South Portland boys. Shout out to all of the athletes giving it their all out there, and shout out to the teams who stopped by and chopped it up with me pre and post-game.
Games are being played all week long at the Portland Expo, with the last games of the day usually starting at 8PM. You can find a full schedule, here. Teams from ME, NH, and even NY are all included in the tournament.
