1. According to the U.S. CDC tracker map Cumberland, Kennebec, York, and Lincoln counties are now listed as having “substantial” COVID transmission. The U.S. CDC is recommending people indoors in those areas wear masks. (WGME)
2. The University of Maine system is now requiring students to be vaccinated to attend in-person classes this fall. Requirement plans were sped up after growing concerns stemming from the Delta variant. (WGME)

4. The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Eagle, also known as “America’s Tall Ship,” will be visiting Portland this weekend for the Maine Bicentennial. Free public tours will be offered on Saturday and Sunday. (WGME)
