1. A grand jury in Kentucky has indicted one police officer on criminal charges related to the fatal shooting of Breonna Taylor six months ago. The charges against ex-detective Hankison are for shooting into a home next to Taylor’s with people inside, not for her actual killing.
2. The U.S. tops 6.9 million coronavirus cases with over 201,000 related deaths. The Maine CDC reported no new deaths and 25 new cases on Wednesday. Maine’s death toll is 140 w/ 599 active cases.
3. Governor Janet Mills announced Wednesday that travelers from Massachusetts are now exempt from the requirement to get a negative COVID-19 test or quarantine for 14 days.
4. Donald Trump Jr. hosted a Make America Great Again campaign rally on behalf of his dad Wednesday night in Holden. Dr. Jill Biden, wife of Democratic Presidential nominee Joe Biden, will visit Maine on Friday.
