1. As the Derek Chauvin trial enters its third week, the judge has said that the jury will likely begin deliberating next Monday. The jury heard from a cardiologist Monday, who testified Floyd’s cardiopulmonary arrest was due to low oxygen, caused by the restraint from Chauvin and other officers. (NEWS CENTER)
2. The U.S. tops 31.2 million covid-19 cases with more than 562,000 related deaths. The Maine CDC reported 1 new death and 296 new cases on Monday bringing Maine’s death toll to 751 with 98 Mainers currently hospitalized. More than 28% of Mainers have been fully vaccinated. (WMTW)
