2. The U.S. tops 29.9 million covid-19 cases with more than 543,000 related deaths. The Maine CDC reported 2 new deaths and 131 new cases on Tuesday bringing Maine’s death toll to 731 with 79 Mainers currently hospitalized. Over 222,000 Mainers have received their final COVID-19 vaccine dose, which represents more than 16.5% of the population. (WMTW)
