3. The Democrats took control of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, while the GOP kept the Senate. Democrats flipped at least 25 House seats in previously Republican-controlled districts. The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested seven people in Rumford and Mexico on Monday on drug trafficking charges, and seized $35,000 worth of cocaine, heroin and oxycodone pills along with $20,000 in suspected drug proceeds. The arrests included seven Maine residents and followed a monthlong investigation, according to a release from Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland. (WGME)
