1. Failed steak salesman Donald Trump said Tuesday that he has instructed aides to stop negotiating on another round of COVID-19 relief until after the election. Trump tweeted that he’s asked Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to direct all his focus before the election into confirming his U.S. Supreme Court nominee, Amy Coney Barrett. 2. The U.S. tops 7.4 million Coronavirus cases w/ over 210,000 related deaths. Senior Trump Advisor, Stephen Miller, tested positive bringing the White House outbreak count to at least 11. The Maine CDC reported no new deaths and 20 additional cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. The statewide death toll remains 142 w/ 582 active cases. (WMTW)
3. Gov. Mills announced that Maine will move into Stage 4 of the state’s reopening plan beginning on October 13. Stage 4 increases limits on indoor seating to 50 percent capacity of permitted occupancy, or 100 people – whichever is less. Stage 4 also allows indoor service for bars and tasting rooms starting on November 2. (WGME)

5. The Hannaford supermarket in Saco is recalling fresh pizza dough. The store says they believe a customer inserted metal objects into the dough sold in the deli department. Customers who bought fresh pizza dough at the store between Monday, October 5 at 2:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 6 at 10:00 a.m. should not consume the product and may return it to the store for a full refund.
