1. People under 20 years old accounted for nearly half of the 667 new COVID-19 cases reported by the state Tuesday. 3. The owner of a shut-down crematorium in Lewiston accused of leaving bodies unrefrigerated and stacked in the basement has been offered a deal by the state that would close the crematorium for at least 10 years. (WGME)
4. The new Maine Turnpike high-speed toll plaza in York is set to open today. The new toll plaza includes six high-speed toll lanes where drivers don’t have to stop, as well as traditional tolls that are staffed 24/7. (WMTW)
5. Apple rolled out a new line of product updates on Tuesday. A new iPad, iPad mini, Apple Watch, and iPhone. The most anticipated release was the iPhone 13. The latest model will come in regular, mini, Pro, and Pro Max versions. iPhones will be available for pre-order on Friday, September 17th, and available for purchase on September 24th.
The iPad and iPad mini get chip updates and new colors to choose from. Apple Watch Series 7 promises more durability and an easier-to-read display. (MASHABLE)
