3. Boothbay’s Elle Logan is Golden again. Logan and crew took first place for team USA women’s rowing Saturday. The gold medal win is Logan’s 3rd overall, tying Portland native and former competitive swimmer Ian Crocker for most gold medals won by a Mainer. (WMTW)
4. For the first time in nearly two decades, the clock that sits atop a nearly 100-foot-tall tower at Woodfords Corner in Portland is keeping time again. The restoration is the first in a series of upgrades being planned for one of Portland’s most heavily traveled intersections. (PH)
