1. Hundreds gathered in Monument Square last night as part of a vigil remembering the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. Attendees were also there to call for the passage of voting rights legislation in Congress.
2. The Maine CDC reported 380 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 (114 in critical care). Roughly 70 percent of the hospitalized are unvaccinated (even higher among critical care). Schools are facing a surge as students return from winter break.
