1. Maine Senator Susan Collins had lunch yesterday at the White House. President Trump has been inviting Senate Republicans throughout the fall to talk about impeachment and other issues. Collins urged the president to support a number of bills that would lower the skyrocketing cost of prescription drugs. (NECN)
2. One-hundred-fifty asylum seekers have just been released into the U.S. Thirty-one of them arrive in Portland today. Individuals will stay at the Oxford Street shelter. Families will be housed at the Chestnut Street shelter. (WGME)
3. American Airlines will offer direct flights between the Portland International Jetport and Dallas-Fort Worth on Saturdays in the summer starting in June 2020. Tickets for the roughly four-hour flights will be available for purchase starting Monday on American Airlines’ website. (PRESS HERALD)
4. A Japanese hotel is renting a room for just $1. The catch is, if you stay in that room, you must agree to livestream your stay. The stream is video-only and the bathroom is not within camera range. (CNN)
