As of Tuesday afternoon, 520 coastal businesses submitted damage reports and photos to help Maine qualify for the federal disaster relief needed to recover from last week’s storms that wreaked havoc on the waterfront. Businesses have until Jan. 18 and Jan. 21 to send in reports to support the state’s applications for federal disaster declarations for the two winter storms. 5. High Noon is now the best selling spirit in the U.S. (based on volume). High Noon sold 21.4 million cases, valued at about $1.5 billion in 2023.
