Portland’s famed Love Locks fence on Commercial Street, sagging under the weight of hundreds of padlocks meant to symbolize everlasting affection, has been deemed a public safety risk by city officials and will be taken down within the next two weeks. 3. The Gorham Youth Football program got a huge grant Wednesday, plus a special visit from Patriots all-pro tight end Rob Gronkowski. Gronkowski was here along with his older brother Gordie. They were in Gorham on behalf of the Gronk Nation Youth Foundation and Riddell. Over 100 youth football players will now be fully outfitted this coming season. (WGME)
