1. Eliot Cutler, former gubernatorial candidate in Maine, pleaded guilty to four counts of possessing child pornography. He will serve 9 months in prison starting June 1 and will be listed on the sex offender registry for 10 years. (WMTW)

2. Portland officials delayed plans to remove the Bayside Trail homeless encampment to solicit more feedback. The city is searching for longer-term solutions to address the homelessness crisis. Portland is housing about 1,150 people a night its two shelters, the Expo gymnasium and hotels. (PH)

3. After failing to beat Democrat Gov. Janet Mills in Maine’s gubernatorial race, former Republican Gov. Paul LePage is officially a Florida resident once again. He said he moved to Florida because taxes are lower. (WGME)

4. The Maine Tourism Association says 70 percent of the businesses it polled don’t have enough staff for tourist season, and time is running out. Growing competition for U.S. visas has limited the number of foreign workers. Lack of affordable housing is another obstacle. (PH)

5. House Majority Leader Maureen Terry has sponsored a bill that would make descriptions of the state’s seal gender neutral and also update the image on the flag so that one of the two figures depicted is female. (PH)
