Investigators are looking for members of the public to come forward with info that could help them determine why a pickup truck hauling a trailer collided with a group of 10 motorcycles on a rural highway, killing seven bikers. 2. Two hikers in their 50’s from Pennsylvania finally made it off the mountain after being stranded on Mount Katahdin on Sunday morning. The Baxter State Park Director says the hikers made it out about 1:30 a.m. The Maine Forest Rangers tried to extract the two hikers with a helicopter but were unsuccessful due to gusty winds. Instead, they lowered a tent, food, water, and a medical kit to the hikers for an overnight stay. News Center Maine
3. A Colorado firefighter used duck sounds on YouTube to save some baby ducklings last week. The ducklings were stranded at the bottom of a storm drain. The duck calls managed to coax out the frightened baby animals. Once the ducklings walked toward the sound, the firefighter was able to scoop them up and reunite them with their mother. Ap
