1. Family and friends gathered for the funeral of Gabby Petito in New York on Sunday, as a manhunt for her fiancé continued. Gabby’s father announced the formation of The Gabby Petito Foundation, which will aim to provide resources and guidance to families of missing children. (TMZ)
2. Hundreds gathered in Waterboro Sunday to remember Douglas Michaud, a 31-year-old man who was allegedly killed by his tenant on September 14. As a tribute, the community held a ride for Michaud who had a love for motorcycles and classic cars. (WGME)
3. Brunswick’s homecoming football game was cancelled Friday due to a hazing incident. Brunswick School Superintendent said “It’s no decision that a school district or a superintendent ever wants to make, but it’s the right decision and I feel very strongly about it.” He’s encouraging families to talk about bullying. 4. Pittsfield, Maine police arrested a 33-year-old woman Friday; she was so desperate to spend some time with her boyfriend that she allegedly called in a bomb threat at his workplace Thursday so he could get the day off. The plant was forced to evacuate its 400 employees and shut down operations for the day. (Press Herald)
5. The U. S. Geological Survey detected a small earthquake near South Portland just after midnight Saturday morning. More than 50 people reported feeling the earthquake to the USGS. (WMTW)
