2. The Washington Post published an editorial Tuesday night that calls on Maine Gov. Paul LePage to resign because of racially charged statements including his assertion that 90 percent of the people arrested in Maine on heroin dealing charges are black or Hispanic. Noting the Portland Press Herald’s report Monday that the governor’s own compilation of suspects in a three-ring binder shows that only 40 percent are black or Hispanic, the Post said, “Facts are inconvenient for Mr. LePage, who now appears to have been undone by them.” (PH)
3. Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery outside the Buffalo Wild Wings on Western Avenue. The incident was reported around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday,. A woman was leaving the restaurant when a man pulled out a gun and demanded money from her, Several other people then came out of the restaurant and the man ran off. No one was hurt. (WMTW)

The Maine man who was behind the wheel of the Jeep involved in a fatal Halloween-themed hayride crash two years ago has been found not guilty by a jury. 17-year-old Cassidy Charette was killed in 2014 crash. The driver, David Brown said “if it could’ve been me instead of her, if I could change places with her right now, I would.” (WMTW)
5. Snapchat Spectacles are a thing! The $129 shades, which are coming “soon,” will let the 150 million people who use the social network every day shoot 10-second videos to upload to Snapchat. Lights on the front of the device will flash to indicate it’s recording. The new product is a big deal for Los Angeles-based Snapchat, which shortened its name to just Snap Inc. as part of the announcement. (CNET)
