1. The temperature in Portland yesterday hit 68 degrees at 2:39 p.m., setting a new record high temperature for the month of February. Sanford Police say they've seen a viral post saying there was going to be a school shooting at “SHS tomorrow.” It's a nationwide post that originated in Ohio that’s designed to spread fear in every school in America with the acronym “SHS,” like Sanford High School. There is no credible threat to any Sanford schools. It's school vacation week so there isn't even school in Sanford Thursday but police want to get the word out, and calm parents nerves. (WGME)
4. The Old Orchard Beach Town Council on Tuesday night authorized the purchase of a seasonal restroom trailer in hopes it will deter visitors from relieving themselves on the town beach and on private property. The request for more public restrooms came after town officials started getting complaints that tourists and visitors were defecating and urinating on the town’s world-renowned beach and on adjacent properties. It’s a matchmaking tool for Trump supporters that promises to “make dating great again.” With every new venture there is always a few speed bumps. Trump.Dating’s launch this month has been a little rocky. It initially allowed users to classify their relationship status as “happily married” or “unhappily married,” and the original homepage photo featured a man since revealed to have been convicted of sex with an underage girl.
