1. Police are investigating a massive brawl that broke out at Golden Corral in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. Police confirm the brawl may have involved more than 40 people and happened following an argument among some customers over an alleged steak shortage. A Golden Corral employee explained that one family cut another family in line to get the steak.
2. CNN President, Jeff Zucker, has resigned from the company after revealing a consensual relationship with a colleague. Zucker said, “I acknowledged the relationship evolved in recent years. I was required to disclose it when it began but I didn’t. I was wrong. As a result, I am resigning today.” News of Zucker’s resignation sent shockwaves inside CNN and across the industry. CNN employees had no idea what was coming before Zucker’s email landed in their inboxes.
3. Nearly three years after the Old Port Festival was scrapped, a new Portland festival focused on art and music is being planned for June at Thompson’s Point. Called Resurgam, the one-day event is being organized by the nonprofit Maine Academy of Modern Music, which is working with a variety of community groups and businesses. The free festival will include many of the elements the Old Port Festival was known for.
4. Maine is getting its first ever LEGO convention! The BrickUniverse LEGO Fan Convention will be held from April 30, 2022 to May 1, 2022. 5. The Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse, New York has announced the first chick to be fostered by a same-sex penguin couple has hatched! Penguin foster parents Elmer and Lima took turns incubating the egg and are now doing a wonderful job raising the chick.
