1. Authorities on Monday released the name of the suspect who shot and killed rapper Nipsey Hussle and injured several others. The suspected gunman has been identified as Eric Holder, a 29-year-old Los Angeles resident, according to a news release by the Los Angeles Police Department. 3. Tom Brady tweeted on Monday that he had decided to retire. The six-time Super Bowl champion has joined Twitter and his first post said simply, “I’m retiring. 4. Burger King has started serving a plant-based Whopper called the Impossible Whopper. The vegetarian patties are made by Silicon Valley start-up Impossible Foods. 5. A new study finds that playing EDM or dubstep music can ward off mosquitoes. When researchers played Skrillex’s “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites,” female mosquitoes (the ones that bite) attacked humans less often or delayed their attacks entirely. Scientists believe that’s because the track’s extreme high and low frequencies disrupted the mosquitoes’ desires to feed and mate. (BBC)
