2. Opal Staudenmaier, of Gorham, is stuck in Cambodia after a passenger on her cruise ship tested positive for the coronavirus. The ship tried to dock in four ports, but was denied until Cambodia agreed to accept the ship. A friend of Staudenmaier’s says she is now being quarantined in a hotel room in Cambodia’s capital. (WGME)

3. Production of Fireball Whisky in Lewiston is going 24/7, and the company that makes it is adding 46 new jobs. According to the latest sales data, Fireball Whisky has surged ahead of Allen’s Coffee Brandy as Maine’s favorite spirit. (WGME)

4. Graphic Designer Rebecca Blaesing of Cumberland worked for three years to get an inclusive Pinata emoji approved by Unicode. The piñata was one of 117 new emojis accepted this year, along with a polar bear, a fondue pot and a transgender flag. Piñata emojis will be available for use beginning in the fall. (PRESS HERALD)
