1. Police say that Andrew Huber Young, 19, got in a fight with his brother over a t-shirt and was kicked out of the family house, only to return hours later with a gun, firing shots that killed Octavia Huber-Young. She would have turned 2 in July.
2. The number of Maine hospital patients with COVID-19 has dropped 12 percent in less than a week.There were 203 hospitalizations on Monday morning. Daily case counts have also declined in recent days.
3. The Beach Cove Waterfront Resort in Boothbay Harbor was destroyed in a massive fire late Monday evening. Roughly eight fire departments responded to the fire. The hotel was closed at the time of the fire, and there are no reported injuries.
4. Arby’s has released their first burger. The limited-edition Wagyu Steakhouse Burger has the largest single beef patty in fast-food, at 6.4 ounces before prep. That’s 50% more meat than McDonald’s Quarter Pounder. Crispy edges but with a tender inside. It comes with American cheese, tomato, lettuce, red onion, pickles, and a “special burger sauce” on a toasted brioche bun.
