1. Parents spoke out Tuesday night in a public forum against Oxford Hills proposed gender identity policy.  The proposed policy outlines things like how students should be addressed, spaces like bathrooms and locker rooms, which became a large focus.The proposal would follow the students’ lead about their gender identity, even if their parents disagree, and it’s up to students if parents are told about how they identify at school. 2. A man from Etna is safe after spending nearly 30 hours lost in the woods. Joseph Nolin was hypothermic and dehydrated when he was found Monday afternoon by Game Warden Michael Latti and K-9 Luna deep in the woods at the edge of the Etna Bog. (WMTW) 

3. The grand opening for the new Target store in Auburn is set for November 6.  Target says the store will employ about 250 team members. (WGME)

4. Elon Musk outlined his plan to charge Twitter users $8 a month for a verified checkmark. The Twitter Blue subscription service will also limit ads and provide access to paywalled news articles. Stephen King tweeted“.. F*** that, they should pay me. If that gets instituted, I’m gone like Enron.” Many social networks, like TikTok and Meta, are doing the opposite and offering a pool of payments to big names and influencers using their platforms, with the idea being to drive growth by keeping happy the people who make the most-engaged content. 5. Tonight’s powerball jackpot is officially OVER one billion. Current Powerball estimates put the pot at $1.2 BILLION. The prize is the second-largest amount in Powerball’s 30-year history. (CNN)
