1. A powerful storm is slamming Maine with winds of 50 to 70 mph, with hurricane force winds expected on the water. A high wind warning has been extended until 8 p.m. Monday for York, Cumberland, Androscoggin, Kennebec, Lincoln, Sagadahoc, Knox and Waldo counties. 2. Four women have now come forward to claim that they were groped by former President George H.W. Bush. Amanda Staples took to Instagram and shared a photo of her meeting the ex-president in 2006, when she was a Republican senate candidate in Maine. While the photo was being taken, Bush allegedly “grabbed my butt and joked and said, ‘Oh I’m not THAT President,’” Staples wrote. “I can only imagine how many women have had their butt grabbed in a photo op,” she added. 3. The number of out-of-state students enrolled in the University of Maine System is at an all-time high this fall. There are now 5,727 out-of state-students enrolled in the system – an 11 percent increase over last year. Out-of-state students pay higher tuition, so the rise is positive news for the system’s financial bottom line. “It’s good news when students and their families have faith in us and our value,” said USM President Glen Cummings. 4. The Houston Astros have taken a 3-2 lead in the World Series after an epic weekend of baseball. While Houston took the W Friday night with a 5-3 home win over the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Dodgers fought back on Saturday to tie up the series at 2 all with a 6-2 win. The weekend culminated with a 12-inning slugfest that wasn’t decided until the wee hours of Monday morning in Houston. The Astros are now one win away from the franchise’s first-ever title.
