It’s that time of the year again! Former President Barack Obama has released his annual summer playlist.
Obama opened the playlist with a track called “Song of Good Hope” by Glen Hansard. Sadly, Hansard died in a motorcycle crash on Wednesday at age 56. On social media, Obama wrote, “Our hearts go out to his family.”
The rest of the playlist spans multiple genres and evenly splits between contemporary hits and well-known classics! The tracks feature rock anthems from The Beatles, folk music from Noah Kahan, and R&B hits from Earth, Wind, and Fire. Obama also included artists like Drake, Johnny Cash, and A Tribe Called Quest to round out his summer listening.
