If you’re ready for a trip back to the early 2000s, the Pop 2000 Tour is bringing the soundtrack of the era to Bernie’s Beach Bar on Thursday, July 16th! Christian Burns of BBMAK says fans are in for a night they’ll never forget.
I got to chat with him about the tour, which features an incredible lineup including Chris Kirkpatrick, O-Town, Ryan Cabrera, and LFO! He shared how much fun it has been touring with fellow pop stars whose songs defined a generation, creating an atmosphere that’s just as entertaining backstage as it is on stage.
During the conversation, Christian also reflected on a memorable show in Portland, Maine, where unexpected visa issues forced him to perform solo – a performance that turned into one of his favorite memories! Beyond BBMAK, he discussed his solo career and his recently released third album, Waking Up in a Northern Town, giving fans another reason to check out his latest music.
Of course, no conversation about the early 2000s would be complete without a little nostalgia! Christian took on my “Bring It Back Here” game, weighing in on everything from classic technology to unforgettable trends, sharing which ones deserve a second chance and which are better left in the past.
Whether you’ve been a BBMAK fan since “Back Here” first hit the radio or you’re just looking for a fun night filled with nostalgic hits, this interview is a reminder of why the music of the early 2000s continues to connect with audiences today!
