The Fyre Fest saga continues! Billy McFarland, creator of the infamous concert weekend, told NBC’s Today, “FYRE 2 is real. My dream is finally becoming a reality.” He added, “FYRE 2 really isn’t about the past, and it’s not really about me. It’s about taking the vision, which is strong.”
You may recall, the original Fyre Festival “took place” in 2017. Fans paid thousands of dollars for a luxury concert experience only to wind up with no acts, lousy food, and low-grade tents in Great Exuma, Bahamas. It was so bad, it warranted multiple documentaries and even landed Billy in jail.
There will be about 2,000 tickets for Fyre 2, with prices ranging from $1,400 to $1.1 million. There have been no artists confirmed for the May 30th to June 2nd festival quite yet. Here’s to hoping Billy can prove us all wrong!
