Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival will not take place in 2027, as organizers have decided a year off is necessary for the grounds to recover from recent storm damage and severe weather challenges. This decision follows consecutive years of difficulties, including the cancellation of the 2020 and 2021 festivals due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the abrupt end of the 2025 edition due to storm conditions.

This year, unexpected heavy rainfall caused delays and significantly impacted the festival experience, prompting Bonnaroo to invest in improvements to the campgrounds and venue facilities, such as enhanced drainage and the addition of roadways and grass.

Bonnaroo said taking this break wasn’t an easy decision but is essential to improving the festival experience and strengthening its resilience against weather-related issues.
