Brian McKnight has filed a major lawsuit against his ex-wife, his son, and several media figures. He claims the group worked together to profit from what he calls a “malicious character assassination.” The lawsuit specifically targets his former wife Julie, his son Brian McKnight Junior, commentators Marc Lamont Hill and Tasha K, and the New York Post.
McKnight says the group pushed a “shockingly dishonest” narrative. He strongly denies their claims that he abandoned his family and refused to show love to his late son, Niko, during his final illness.
He also accuses Tasha K of making separate, unsupported claims online, saying she falsely accused him of infidelity and inappropriate contact with a minor. McKnight stated this “relentless and persistent assault upon his character” ruined business opportunities and deeply damaged his career.
He’s now seeking monetary damages for the fallout. None of the defendants have publicly responded to the lawsuit at this time.
