Say it isn’t so! Chad Hugo is now suing Pharrell Williams, claiming he is fraudulently trying to keep the Neptunes’ name for himself. The production duo have been working together since 1992 when they met at a summer camp for the Gifted and Talented in Virginia Beach.
The legal filing said Pharrell allegedly wants to be the sole owner of the Neptunes’ name, but that violates a prior agreement where both parties were to share the benefits of the brand for 30 years. Chad’s attorneys pointed out three recent times when Pharrell allegedly tried to trademark the Neptunes by himself.
Hate to see this! Hoping they can figure this out amicably.
