Halsey opens up about her split from G-Eazy in a new Glamour interview, where she finally confirms that her hit single “Without Me” really is about her ex G. We found it interesting this morning though, how that works considering our own Maine native, Amy Allen co-wrote it for her?
“The biggest lesson I learned was to make art, not headlines,” she says about their breakup and the track she wrote about it. “Because it can become quite easy, in the social media generation, to go from being a musician to becoming a personality.” She adds, “I call myself a collector; I collect things from people and use them to widen my artistic repertoire, so that I am writing from a culmination of experiences from the world.”
