Drake, streamer Adin Ross, and Stake.us are being sued for “unjust enrichment” from a “deceptive” sweepstakes casino. The lawsuit alleges that Drake and Ross misled consumers by promoting Stake.us as a “harmless” social casino when it is actually a “highly addictive” and “unlawful gambling platform.”
Stake.us created a dual-currency system that allows users to wager on casino games and cash out for real money, which the lawsuit argues is a clear vehicle for real-money gambling. The lawsuit claims that Drake and Ross, who have been high-profile promoters of Stake, engage in livestream gambling under fraudulent pretenses and target teenagers.
Drake just made the following post yesterday, so I guess we shall see in court!
