In a relatively unsurprising move, Jay Z just removed the majority of his music from Spotify and Apple Music. The Blueprint, Magna Carta Holy Grail, Reasonable Doubt, and many other albums have been taken off of the streaming services. The only music that remains from the artist are some of his collaborations and greatest hits compilations.
Jay Z founded his own streaming service, Tidal, in 2015, so it makes sense that he’s made it the sole home for his music. While Tidal has exclusive content from several artists, the service still has far fewer subscribers than either Spotify or Apple Music.
