Saturday Night Live celebrated 50 years with a Sunday night special on NBC! The telecast went over three hours and was packed with memories and new moments. Paul Simon and Sabrina Carpenter started the show with a rendition of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Homeward Bound.”
Steve Martin delivered the opening monologue and was joined during the routine by John Mulaney and Martin Short.
Kenan Thompson hosted a new “Black Jeopardy” skit featuring Leslie Jones and Tracy Morgan as contestants. Eddie Murphy returned to portray “Tracy Morgan” as one of the panelists. Chris Rock and Tom Hanks both made cameos in the sketch.
Tom Hanks returned to highlight sketches and characters from SNL that did not age well.
In addition to the jokes and reminiscing, there were also some amazing performances from Lil Wayne, Miley Cyrus, and more!
