In an interview today on Shade45, Em, as he usually does, told it how it is on a number of topics that have been swirling around him for the past few weeks.
First of all: no, he did not reveal a release date for his highly speculated and highly anticipated album, Revival. However, he did reveal that he’s sticking to his roots as Rick Rubin executive produced the album, while Dr. Dre mixed a few songs on it.
He speaks on the fact that collaborating with Beyoncé had been on his wishlist, but over the years the timing was never right. “I felt like she probably could relate to this too….the sentiment.” Their song, Walk On Water, speaks on the fact that the two artists always feel as though they need to do everything perfectly because of their status. Em goes on to speak about his thoughts on the current state of hip-hop, as well as his thoughts on Trump in regards to his internet-breaking BET Cypher.
