Comedian Jamie Pappas is heading to Portland for the first time, and she already has quite the Maine bucket list!
I caught up with the Philly-based comedian ahead of her June 22nd performance at Empire Comedy Club. Known for her dry, sharp humor and her YouTube special, “Bad at Small Talk,” Pappas shared how she found her way into stand-up comedy and what fans can expect when she hits the stage in Portland.
Pappas said her comedy journey began after taking a writing class in New York, where she discovered a passion for crafting jokes and connecting with audiences. Since then, she has built a loyal following through her stand-up performances, weekly comedy shows in Philadelphia, and online content.
As she continues to grow her audience, Pappas reflected on one of her proudest career moments: receiving a compliment from comedian Laurie Kilmartin!
While she’s looking forward to performing for Maine audiences, Pappas is equally excited about exploring the state for the first time. Her must-see attractions? Puffins and the famous Umbrella Cover Museum!
Catch Jamie Pappas live at Empire Comedy Club on Monday, June 22nd! Tickets are available now here.
