So many albums have came and went, been a flash in the pan, never to be re-visited again except for maybe that one rogue song that captured our attention for a moment or two. On the flipside there have been albums that have captivated millions and stood the test of time for decades, nominated for and won countless awards, and produced songs that we’ll pass on to our kid’s kids someday.
Apple Music recently put together a list of the best albums of all time, in their opinion, and the top 10 lists names that are both obvious and somewhat surprising. Nobody should be shocked when a list like this drops with Michael Jackson, Prince, or The Beatles highlighting it, but it might come as somewhat of a pleasant surprise to see Kendrick Lamar or Frank Ocean. However, they’re all beat out by a legendary name that dropped this one single album and gave us nothing thereafter…Ms. Lauryn Hill! Hard to argue with the body of work that is The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, but you’d be hard pressed to go wrong with any of the albums in this top 10 list.
1. Lauryn Hill – The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
2. Michael Jackson – Thriller
3. The Beatles – Abbey Road
4. Prince & The Revolution – Purple Rain
5. Frank Ocean – Blonde
6. Stevie Wonder – Songs in the Key of Life
7. Kendrick Lamar – good kid, m.A.A.d city (Deluxe Version)
8. Amy Winehouse – Back to Black
9. Nirvana – Nevermind
10. Beyoncé, – Lemonade
