The Met Gala took place on Monday evening in New York. Iconic designer Karl Lagerfeld inspired the fashion theme for attendees. Doja Cat went all out for her first Met Gala, arriving in full cat prosthetics and an Oscar de la Renta dress. Bad Bunny sported in a backless cream suit w/ rose accents. Yung Miami and Sean “Diddy” Combs arrived together. They’re having fun and not putting labels on it. Lil Nas X wore pearls, gems and silver body paint. Jared Leto arrived in a full cat costume in honor of Karl Lagerfeld’s pet. Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade showed up in complementary leather in red and black, both from Prada.
One of last night’s Met Gala moments occurred before celebrities showed off their looks. ASAP Rocky had to fight through hoards of fans at the Carlyle. Video footage caught Rocky jumping over a barricade while using a woman’s head for balance. Once he got over the barricade, people realized it was Rocky and screamed for him. ASAP and Rihanna eventually arrived at the Met Gala with RiRi showing off a stunning floral look from Valentino and Rocky wearing a kilt and jeans.
Serena Williams is pregnant with her 2nd baby. Serena and her husband made the announcement in a photo shoot for Monday’s Met Gala. Williams posted her baby bump couture on Instagram with the caption, “Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala.”
