Netflix’s sequel to “A Different World” is set to premiere exactly 39 years after the original’s debut! The new series centers around Deborah Wayne, the youngest child of classic characters Whitley Gilbert (Jasmine Guy) and Dwayne Wayne (Kadeem Hardison), as she navigates her first year at Hillman College.

Original cast members returning to reprise their roles include Guy, Hardison, Cree Summer, and Darryl M. Bell, among others. The show is produced by a creative team that includes key figures from the original series, such as executive producers Debbie Allen and Felicia Pride.
