Portland decided to issue a parking ban Tuesday night, which left a lot of people asking questions about the city’s parking ban policy. Officials say it’s not an exact science and every storm is different, which can make it difficult to determine when a ban is necessary. The parking bans are almost always overnight from 10 p.m. – 6 a.m., that way they can clear the roads as best as possible before most businesses open and people return to work.
