Michael Jordan wore the pair during an exhibition game played in Trieste, Italy, in the summer of 1985. “It is the top price achieved for sneakers at auction,” a spokesperson at Christie’s said. The shoes were special because they contained a shard of glass from the game. Jordan had shattered the backboard during the exhibition.
